Balder Finland, along with its subsidiaries, owns, manages, and develops properties across Finland with a flexible approach focused on commercial real estate. Our strong team spirit is the foundation for providing exceptional care to our customers and advancing our business now and in the future. We are committed, long-term owners dedicated to creating stable cash flow.

Balder’s property portfolio in Finland has grown steadily to over €700 million. CEO Juha Lehtonen has managed Balder’s wholly-owned commercial properties, such as hotels, retail, warehouse, and office buildings, since 2014.

Our focus is on owning and managing commercial properties. Unlike many in the industry, we handle property management and administration through our own organization, which allows for swift decision-making and keeps us closely connected to our customers. We believe this approach delivers the best long-term results.

Balder’s first acquisition in Finland – 8 retail properties

2017

First hotel property acquisition in Finland – Holiday Inn Ruoholahti

2019

Balder agreed to construct the new Blood Service headquarters in Vehkala, Vantaa

2020

Balder acquires car dealership properties leased by K-Auto in three separate transactions

2023

Balder acquires the entire share capital of Serena Properties, which focuses on retail properties.

Balder establishes its own organization in Finland – Balder Finland, Helsinki and Vaasa

BALDER GROUP

We are part of the publicly listed Swedish company Fastighets Ab Balder. The parent company was founded in Gothenburg in 2005 by entrepreneurs Erik Selin and Sharam Rahi. Balder is also the majority owner of residential investment companies such as Sato Oyj and Joo Group.
